Pure Copper medallón set with a Star Diopside. Similar to a black star sapphire, Star diopside exhibits a striking optical phenomenon known as asterism, where a four-rayed star appears to glide across the surface of the stone when viewed under direct light. This effect is caused by needle-like inclusions—often magnetite—aligned within the crystal structure, which reflect light in a cross-shaped pattern. Unlike the six-rayed stars seen in sapphires, star diopside’s rays are typically slightly curved and not perfectly symmetrical, giving it a distinctive, almost mystical appearance
